For those of us that like to rub shoulders with ‘greatness’ (I refuse to see it as wanting to ‘belong’) or a semblance of it. Dele Momodu, a presidential aspirant (is he still aspiring?) has unwittingly raised the bar through his tweet (some days back) to the British Royal Family on the arrival of the Royal baby. I quote the said tweet ‘’my heartfelt congratulations to the British Royal Family on the arrival of the birth of a new prince today, at St.Mary’s Paddington WHERE WE HAD OUR SONS’’
The good news is that everybody does not have to go to St.Mary’s Paddington to be able to rub shoulder with ‘greatness’. Greatness or a semblance of it is scattered in every continent of the world (and even back home here in Nigeria) as I will prove.
For example, if you find yourself in the U.S (to have a baby)…please find out the hospital where Obama or even Michelle (the first blacks to hold sway at the white house) were born and go there.
In South Africa, find out the hospital where young Madiba Nelson Mandela was born and go there to rub your own shoulder with ‘greatness’.
Here in Nigeria…find out where senator Yerima was born and go there. in FAMOUS Yerima is about the most popular senator in Nigeria right now, the first KNOWN senator and Ex governor to have a SMALLIE as a bride…that is no mean feat, his name is headed to the Guinness book of world record.
A SPLENDID WEEKEND TO YOU, JOOR!!!
